The owners wanted us to create a modern touch to their 3 bathrooms and have a finish that was like a "Formal Hotel"!
The main bathroom had 3 sub-rooms within the one bathroom. This very design was introduced in the 80's to try and give a formal idea of bathing and pampering.
The shower, toilet and vanity were all in seperate rooms with doors. Although a good idea, it gave a very closed in and secluded feel.
As the photos in the main show, we introduced a large corner spa with seperatley switched down lights to give the owners the much needed "romantic nights" they desired.
The shower was opened up with a fixed frameless panel of glass to allow access via the rear without the need of a door. This is a big space saver.
The vanity was a modern "above counter design" with a curved front. A very effective style in a formal setting.
The Ensuite had some space issues that the owners wanted us to resolve. The existing vanity was removed to free up some space and a pedestal was installed. A 2 door mirrored cabinet was set into the wall above the pedestal to store all the products that any average vanity could hold. This also eleviates the need to bend over to get to your cupboards.
A "bathroom caddy" was placed next to the toilet to allow more storage space with out taking up to much space. The caddy is gloss white with a door on one side and 6-towel racks at the front.
A very good outcome was achieved through out and the same tiles from floor to ceiling were used through out with a pebble strip in each shower. |
